I’m proud to be associated with CPD Sychdyn. The last two seasons has been tremendous and I’d like to thank Andy (Watty) for his commitment and I’m sure you’ll agree, he’s done a fantastic job, both on the playing field and in coaching the team.

The whole squad should be proud of what we’ve achieved this season, in finishing third on our first attempt in Division 1. From watching all (bar two games), I can tell that the team has gained in confidence over the season and there’s a great belief, which is good for morale and hope we keep it going for next season.

I know that Andy has plans to take the club forward and I’m sure the Committee, myself included will support him the best we can and try to get potential sponsors.

I’d like to thank Ad Walker for doing a brilliant job as captain, it’s a shame that he’s not carrying on this role next season because the lads have great respect for him. Thanks also go to Hayd and Rob who have stepped in as Assistants to Andy and it’s much appreciated that they have given up their time to do so.

I’d like to thank Sue for doing such brilliant job as treasurer and making sure our finances are kept in order.

Our web-site has gone from strength to strength thanks to Paul (Yozza) Hughes, who’s done a brilliant job in setting it up initially and keeping it updated on a regular basis.

I’m sure everyone associated with the club are grateful to our kit sponsors this season – Jim Williams (home full kit), Principality (away kit shirts).

I’d like to end my final blog of the season by wishing Shaun Massey the best of luck with his new life in Australia and a big thank you on behalf of everyone at CPD Sychdyn for all his efforts this season.

Good luck for next season, which is fast approaching
